Accredited SMSTS Training: Build Stronger Site Management Skills Across the UK

Introduction

If you are ready to become a confident, compliant site manager, the SMSTS course (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) is one of the most valuable qualifications you can complete. It equips professionals with the knowledge to plan, organise, and manage construction sites safely and effectively.

At Target Zero Training, we deliver CITB-accredited SMSTS courses online, allowing delegates from Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield, and every corner of the UK to access high-quality training without travel or time away from work. Our online learning format provides the same accreditation, tutor support, and outcomes as classroom-based sessions — with added flexibility.

What Is the SMSTS Course?

The SMSTS course is a five-day training programme approved by the CITB and recognised across the UK construction industry. It focuses on safety management, legal compliance, and leadership skills essential for anyone responsible for running or overseeing construction projects.

You will cover key areas such as:

• Health and Safety at Work Act
• CDM Regulations and their practical application
• Risk assessments and method statements
• Site setup and environmental management
• Leadership and safety culture on site

After successful completion, you receive a CITB certificate valid for five years, proving your competence as a site manager.
