If you're looking for the best SSSTS courses in the UK, you're in the right place. The Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is a vital qualification for anyone managing teams or overseeing site safety in the construction industry. With so many training providers out there, it’s crucial to choose a course that’s not just CITB-accredited – but genuinely engaging, convenient, and career-focused.
Let’s walk through what makes an SSSTS course exceptional – and why Target Zero is the go-to choice across the UK.
What Is the SSSTS Course?
The SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) is a two-day course accredited by CITB. It's designed for site supervisors and team leaders who are responsible for maintaining safe working conditions on construction sites.
What you'll learn:
- Health & safety regulations and legislation
- Risk assessments and method statements
- Toolbox talks
- Site inductions and safety briefings
- Supervising on-site activities safely
Why Is SSSTS Certification So Important?
SSSTS isn’t just a box-ticking exercise – it’s a legal and professional requirement on many UK sites. Without this qualification, you may not be eligible to supervise or manage on a construction site.
Benefits of SSSTS certification:
- Meet employer and legal site requirements
- Improve your site management confidence
- Reduce accidents and project delays
- Boost your professional credibility
