If your SMSTS certificate is due to expire, renewing it online is the fastest and most convenient way to stay compliant. There is no need to travel, and you can complete the course from the comfort of your home or office. In just two days, you can refresh your qualification and keep your credentials up to date.
Why You Must Renew on Time
Your SMSTS certificate is valid for five years. If you do not renew it before it expires, you will be required to complete the full five day course again. This is more expensive, more time consuming, and completely avoidable. By booking the SMSTS refresher course while your certificate is still valid, you save both time and money.
Step by Step: Renewing Your SMSTS Certificate Online
Step 1: Check Your Certificate
You can only take the SMSTS refresher if your current certificate is still valid. If it has expired, you will unfortunately need to complete the full course again. We recommend booking your refresher several weeks in advance of expiry to avoid this.
Step 2: Book the Online SMSTS Refresher
At Target Zero Training, we offer the full SMSTS refresher course online. It is delivered live over Zoom by expert instructors and meets all CITB requirements. You can view available dates and book directly by visiting the link below.

At the end of the course, you will take a short online assessment. This is conducted live and supervised via Zoom. Once you pass, your renewed SMSTS certificate will be issued and sent to you electronically.
