At Target Zero, we provide CITB-approved SMSTS training courses designed to help site managers and supervisors build safer, more compliant construction sites. Whether you’re based in Cardiff, Manchester, Sheffield, or prefer online training, our flexible delivery options ensure you can train at a time and place that suits you.
What Is the SMSTS Course?
Our SMSTS course (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) is a five-day programme aimed at those responsible for managing, monitoring, or supervising construction activities safely. It covers key topics such as:
- Health and safety law and responsibilities
- CDM Regulations
- Risk assessments and method statements
- Behavioural safety and site leadership
- Environmental management and welfare
By completing the SMSTS training, delegates gain the skills to effectively manage health and safety on site and reduce the risk of accidents and non-compliance.
SMSTS Refresher: Renew Your Certification
If your SMSTS certificate is due to expire, you’ll need to complete the SMSTS refresher course before it lapses. This two-day course updates your knowledge of legislation, industry best practice, and leadership responsibilities, extending your qualification for another five years.
The refresher ensures that your knowledge remains current and that you continue to meet CITB and HSE standards on site.
