What Is the CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Course?

The Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) course is a two-day CITB-accredited programme designed to ensure that those responsible for managing temporary works are competent and compliant.

This includes structures such as:

  • Scaffolding and formwork
  • Falsework and shoring
  • Temporary bracing
  • Hoardings, propping systems, and excavation supports

The course is aligned with CDM Regulations 2015 and covers:

  • The role and responsibilities of the TWC
  • Legal and procedural control of temporary works
  • BS 5975 guidance
  • Risk assessment, method statements and coordination of design

Upon successful completion, delegates receive a CITB certificate valid for 5 years.
