If you are considering the Temporary Works Coordinator Course Essex it is likely you have some background knowledge in temporary works. Temporary works covers construction that is engineered to allow or enable the main construction.

Who is the course appropriate for?

This course is appropriate for those managing all forms of temporary works and is suitable for managers, agents and supervisors. The two day course is CITB accredited and the certificate lasts five years before it will need to be renewed.

The course is delivered by a tutor via video call, therefore you will need access to a computer or laptop that has a microphone and webcam. We ask our delegates to login before the course start time to ensure there are no IT issues. Have a form of photographic ID ready to present to the trainer over webcam. Any course materials will be provided in a digital format.

What does the course involve?

The course will provide candidates with a thorough knowledge of the role of a Temporary Works Coordinator. It covers the roles of those involved in temporary works, risk assessments and method statements and statutory aspects.

Throughout the course, you will look at case studies, procedures and policies of Temporary Works,  legislation and relevant codes of practise. You will also learn about the '4Cs': communications, cooperation, coordination and competency, best practice and how to manage temporary works as the TWC. By the end of this 2 day CITB accredited course, you will gain a thorough working knowledge of the needs for the role as a TWC.

We encourage our delegates to be interactive and involved throughout the training – joining discussions, asking questions and taking part in any training activities.  This, in addition to some self-study, will help you understand the course material thoroughly.

What is the pass mark for the course?

To pass the course, you will need to score over 72% in the final exam to pass the course. With remote learning, the multiple choice exam is taken with the camera on via online forms.

Following successful completion, your Temporary Works Coordinator CITB certificate will be awarded which is valid for five years, after which you will need to take the course again to renew it. Following completion, you will receive your certificate within 2-3 weeks.

If you are looking to become a Temporary Works Coordinator, have recently been promoted or engage with contractors and senior management, the Temporary Works Coordinator course is recommended and is a recognised qualification. To find out more about the course or to book your place, get in touch with us or fill out an enquiry form and a member of the team will be in touch.
